Assembly Instructions: Welder Series Kit WS25800 - Booster Bracket & Pedal Kit

The WS25800 kit is made up from 3 assemblies: the pedal mounting bracket, the pedal, and the booster bracket. These pictures show Grant Schwartz, of Grant Schwartz Welding Inc, assembling all 3. If the pedal mounting bracket is welded first, it's easy to use the bushings and tube as a spacer because the rest of the pedal arm isn't in the way.
The two formed parts that make up the pedal mounting bracket should be spaced to take the 2 Delrin bushings that are in the kit. Grant has a spacer the proper length. The bushings can be put in the pedal tube and then a thin spacer (cereal box cardboard) can be used for clearance.
Tack the plates and then remove the bushings (or they will burn). Finish welding.
To position the arm and tube properly, use a 1/2" spacer (or steel plate), as shown. Note how the picture shows the bend in the arm.
Tack the tube to the arm. Be sure to keep the tube flat on the table. Then finish welding both sides of the arm. Tig or Mig welding can be used.
The gusset goes outside the center hole in the booster bracket. The edge of the gusset aligns with the edge of the large hole. Use a square to position it against both sides of the booster bracket.
