Things To Do With A Bracket, Air Ride Edition
In this edition, I've decided to feature one new part, and a few that we've had for a long time but since it's the Air Ride Edition, this is their time to shine. I hope I've made them feel special.

If you get the impression I'm a bit inflated, it's because these parts are easy to install, they look great, and they will save you money. I think you'll also enjoy checking out how one of our customers used Welder Series brackets on his Buick. So grab some CO2, take a deep breath, and read on.

Air Springs & the Infinitely Adjustable Spring Rate
No, it's not the new Harry Potter movie title. Air springs have been installed on street rods, customs, hot rods, even motorcycles, for decades. I think it's been in the last five or ten years that they have really taken off as an alternative to the tried and true coilover, which substituted the coil spring with an external shock. There will always be people who adamently say that air springs pop, deflate, fizzle, make demonic noises, etc. If you're one of those people, you may not have even opened this email. But... coilover shocks can leak, springs are inconvenient to swap, and coil springs don't lend themselves to easily changing the ride height. If air springs are installed correctly, they will provide many years and of miles of trouble free driving. Think of the trucking industry.

The Great Email Sale
This week, we're featuring air ride brackets. So naturally, when we were thinking of what to put on sale, the first thing that came to mind was exhaust hangers. Wait, that's next week. OK, OK, 20% off air ride stuff! Sale prices are shown in this email, and only available until November 2/07.
Here's a simple way to locate the bottom of your air spring. Formed to weld to a 3" diameter axle tube but will easily fit smaller or larger tubes. The edge that welds lengthwise to the axle tube is scalloped to reduce heat build-up when welding. The air spring mounting surface is the same height as the axle tube centerline. About 5-1/4'' wide with 1 hole, 3/8'' diameter, 3'' from the edge of the axle. $23. SALE PRICE: $18
For the upper bracket, this pre-bent beauty has the perfect amount of clearance for the air fitting and the mounting bolts. Notched to clear the air line fitting. About 6-1/2” wide with 2 holes, 3/8” diameter on 2-3/4” centers, 4” from the edge of the bracket. 474208. $21. SALE PRICE: $16
Check out how Lowdown Hot Rods did the install. They also used our four link axle bracket kit.
If you're in the mood for some air and four bars, these brackets should satisfy! Dual purpose brackets look great, and they will hook up your four bar bars, as well as your air springs. $43.10 per side. SALE PRICE: $34
And since you're so special, eFXDesign, you'll be the first to know about our rear shock bracket when it's released.
Don't forget about our standard rear axle brackets
(highlighted in our last email) which you can use with the Shockwave 4" air shocks (as on our '32) or with regular coilovers.
The Burkhart Buick
Recognize that plate? You guessed it; it's a #20724 Vega steering box bracket plate, for $8.95! He used it as a bolt-on transmission mount. Or you can check out all 98 of the plates in our web store.
This is a huge advantage of our ready-to-weld rear four link frame brackets . The frame has a stock center section, so the brackets had to be welded on an angle. The plates were then welded to the bracket so the bars are pointing right at the rear end. Awesome!
In this picture, we can see a few clever things. First is the four link axle bracket. Check out how he trimmed the back side off the bracket to make it into a single purpose bar mounting bracket. Next notice how he's using the original coil spring pad to mount the air spring, and fabricating a custom upper mount. Third, see the little piece of cereal box between the axle bracket plate and the urethane bushing? Now he knows that after he paints the rear end, his bars will still fit.
Welder Series was also contracted to do some custom work so ShockWaves could be used with the original Buick IFS. We were provided with all the dimensions, and we cut the plates. Lower control arm plates to mount the ShockWaves were also custom made.
And remember...
