Dear Welder Series… C notches for ’38 Chevy?

Dear Welder Series…
Do you have a frame C notch kit for the rear suspension of a 38 Chevy?

Dear Fred…
Thanks for asking, Fred.  If you want to put a simple c-notch in the bottom of the frame rail for rear end clearance, we have #12203.

We also have the frame curve sections, as shown here .

I hope one of these will solve your problem.

Introducing: 3″ x 3″ Frame Curves

We’re now shipping 3″ x 3″ frame curves. These 90° bends make it easy to create flowing mandrel-bent-looking frame rails. Supplied in four pieces, the alignment tabs make it easy to clamp them together. Once they’re welded, you can grind them smooth and the radius will match a hollow structural tube- the transition will be seamless!

$41 for 90°. Click here to go to our web store: https://www.welderseries.com/blog/online-store/frame-curves/

June Photo Sharing Winner: better late than tomorrow.

Don has been sending progress pictures of his Healey build for a while now… I hope he still has $50 of Welder Series parts to buy, because he’s the winner of this months photo sharing draw!

Don used a sway bar on the front and rear, frame curves, and various bits and pieces on this home built chassis. Check out the customized sway bar arms!

Frame Curve Price Drop

If we were WalMart, we would have just completed a series of meetings and discussions resulting in the procedure to “think” about changing the price of our frame curves.

But we’re not WalMart, so I just went in and changed the price.  We found a more cost-effective way to produce these parts, so we’re passing the savings on.  It’s just about that simple.

The 3 x 2 curves are now $39 instead of $48.
The 4 x 2 curves are now $44 instead of $48.
The 5 x 2 vertical curve is staying put at $48.

Click here to check them out in our web store.  There is also a video showing how they go together.

JF Kustoms Riviera

JF sent me these pics of a Riviera he’s building.  While the whole project is a bit mind-numbing, I particularly enjoy the frame (since it uses a whole whack of our frame curves!)

I’m pretty confident you’ll be interested in a newish online TV show he’s doing, highlighting the build and sale of his yellow Chrysler wagon project.  Also, here’s his website: www.desertspeedshop.com

Frame Curves in Mini Truckin’ Magazine

Lately, I’ve been talking with Red over at Mini Truckin’ magazine. If you’re not familiar with the mini truck scene, you should take a look at some of the fab work these guys are doing. Anyways, Red ordered some frame curves for a project he’s doing, and mentioned he was planning to do a bit of a write-up in the magazine. He just called and said that subscribers now have the issue with our parts in it, and that the November issue is the one to look for on the newsstand. Hope you are able to pick it up and see what one branch of the automotive tree is doing to their vehicles!

Frame Curve C-Notch

Terry just sent us an email with some pictures of how he used our frame curves.  I thought it was most worthy of being shared!  Here’s a bit of the email:

Put the curves together,  cut the top part of the frame out and then just slid the curves into the frame.  Then after welding I just cut the sides and bottom of the frame away and finished welding the curves and frame together with a gusset here and there.  This gave me a good 4 inches more travel for my air ride, so far so good everything is working as planned.
This is being done on a 48 Chevy fleetline aero sedan.
Thanks again, Terry

Thank you, Terry!
