Rear Four Link Kit - Parallel, Universal
Parallel four link kits, with the option of standard or big bushing kits. Ships for $33 - $39 by UPS, no duty or brokerage.
$340.00 — $390.00
4-Link kit, rear. This kit was designed for 1932-34 Fords, but has proven to be adaptable to many frames. The bars mount beside the frame rail (inside the frame or outside, as shown in the pics above). The upper bar will be about 3″ above the bottom of the rail. Rear axle brackets have 3 mounting holes for the coil-overs. Bars are about 25” c-c. (4 bars are included in the kit. Other lengths are available. See the parts section under ”Bars”).
Two parallel four link kits are offered, both are complete kits with the following variations:
222501 (available welded and ready-to-weld)
1-3/4″ wide, 1-5/8″ OD urethane bushings
3/4-16 threaded adjusters
2220 (available welded only)
1-3/8″ wide, 1-3/8″ OD urethane bushings
5/8-18 threaded adjusters
The bracketry for each kit is matched to the OD of the bushing for a clean appearance.
NEWS: The 1-3/8″ bushing, ready-to-weld kit has been discontinued. Effective January 01, 2012, the price of the 2220 kit will be C$390.00.
High demand for the kits with the 1-3/4″ wide bushings is reducing sales of the 1-3/8″ kits, making the 1-3/8″ kits more expensive to produce. We still have components for the 1-3/8″ kits and as those inventory levels go down, a decision about their future will be made.

I have a 1980 MGB and am installing a narrowed Ford 8.8 rear-end. I have a leaf spring original rear suspension and want to install a 4-link to my 8.8, with coil over shocks. Can you help me?
Dave Kirkman
Dave, our (WS)222501 parallel rear 4-link kit could be used with a Panhard bar, kit (WS)2184. If your 8.8 has the ears on the case for the stock triangulated upper bars, our (WS)318588 can be used. This is a fairly new kit that has special brackets for the 8.8″ upper bushings. The upper bars have to be cut to length and then the bracket gets welded to the bar. This allows for different frame widths.
The WS222501 and the WS318588 each costs $340.00. The welded versions cost $390.00. The Panhard kit costs $93.00 ready to weld and $115.00 welded.
Thanks for looking at Welder Series parts.
I still have the ears on my 8.8. What kind of measurement would I need to make coming from the ears. Am I to assume to the back leaf spring mount? Or the forward leaf spring mount bracket? I have a spring set which I will replace the original lever type on an MGB. The WS318588 sounds like the one I would need. WHen you say welded, is it to the car frame (or leaf sping brackets in my case)?
I said ‘spring set which I will replace…..’ I meant I will replace the leaf springs and replace the original lever type shock absorbers. Sorry for the confusion!
Hi David, sorry for the delay in responding… I just saw this now. The welded kit comes with the urethane bushing outer tubes welded to the bars, and the two adjuster welded. Lower frame brackets are welded, too. The 8.8 upper axle brackets are not supplied welded, because that bar dimension varies depending on the application.
