Dear Welder Series… 4.6l in a ’65 Mustang?

Dear Welder Series…
Hi,
How long it typically took to receive the “Ford Motor Mounts, 4.6L & 5.4L, Urethane Insulated” kit that you have to offer on your site? My project car is up in Pennsylvania so I am not certain what I need at this time, but it looks like your kit might do the trick.

Just some background…  I am putting a 4.6l mod motor into a 65 mustang. In this setup, would the welded kit work properly to allow me to get the engine as far back towards the firewall as possible? Not sure how much leeway your kit provides for backwards/forwards positioning.

Thanks!
Erik

Dear Erik…
Erik, our 4.6l kit can be installed where ever you want it along the frame rails. Kits are normally in stock and would take about 3 days to get to you from our place.

Thanks for looking at Welder Series parts.

Dear Welder Series… Motor Mounts for ’56 Chevy Pickup?

Dear Welder Series…
Hello,
I am emailing to find out if you have a Chevy V8 mount kit that will work in a 1956 Chevy pickup truck.

Thanks,
Jase

Dear Jase…
Jase, either of our Chev motor mount kits will work in your ’56. The frame brackets must be trimmed to put the engine at the height you want.

Dear Welder Series… Motor Mounts for 1973 Javelin?

Dear Welder Series…
Working on a 73 Javelin with a chevy big block conversion need idea on motor mount fabrication for this application.

Dear writer…
Our C005 mounts (https://www.welderseries.com/blog/online-store/chevy-motor-mounts-rubber-insulated/) are very versatile and should be a good choice for your Javelin.

The 2149 is a urethane-bushed mount that is easy to install and has a hi-tech look.  (https://www.welderseries.com/blog/online-store/chevrolet-motor-mount-kits/)

I hope we can help with your project.

Dear Welder Series… Ford engine in a Mazda?

Dear Welder Series…
Hello, my name is Mark. I own a small automotive repair shop and I have a customer that’s wanting me to install a Ford 302 in his 1989 Mazda B2200 mini truck. A since gone company, Ultimate Customs made a nice ‘kit’ that included a lowered engine cross-member, and a transmission mount/bracket. Do you carry direct fit stuff by application? I could make the parts myself, but I’m restricted by equipment and time. I’d rather purchase them. Here’s a website illustrating the parts and installation from the U.C. kit. Do you carry something similar?

Dear Mark…
Hi, Mark.  Thanks for this link.  That was a slick kit.  We have generic Ford engine mounts (http://www.welderseries.com/blog/online-store/ford-motor-mounts-urethane-insulated/ and http://www.welderseries.com/blog/online-store/ford-motor-mounts-rubber-insulated/ ) and a trans mount adapter (http://www.welderseries.com/blog/online-store/transmission-mount-adapter-plate/ and http://www.welderseries.com/blog/online-store/trans-saddle-plate/ or check out http://www.welderseries.com/blog/online-store/category/chassis-parts/transmission-mount-kits/ ).

Sorry we can’t give you a made-to-fit kit, but I hope some of these brackets will help.

Thanks for looking at Welder Series parts.

Dear Welder Series… SBC location in Model A?

Dear Welder Series…
Hi guys:

Could you give me reference measurements for small block Chev motor mount location in a ’28 Ford chassis?

Thanks.
Al

Dear Al…
Al, there are a lot of variables and I strongly recommend mocking everything up to locate the engine/transmission.  Here is a link to our engine mounting tips page: http://www.welderseries.com/blog/tech-sharing/motor-mounting-tips/.  I believe this will help more than a dimension that might not work in your case.

Thanks for looking at Welder Series.
