Biscuit Eater’s Model A Pickup

Jeff (aka “Biscuit Eater” on the HAMB) is working on his first hot rod project – a ’29 Ford pickup.  Recently, he bought some Welder Series parts and sent some pictures of his progress.

Thanks for using our parts, Jeff.

Jeff used our 28″ wide flat front crossmember… see how the extra-long channel creates the C notch for the spring?
You can see our driveshaft loop kit peeking out, as well as our universal rear panhard kit.

CDN gov’t matching donations to Haiti

A partner organization I served with in Haiti two years ago, Mission to Haiti Canada, has posted on their blog that the Canadian government is matching donations made for earthquake relief.  For every dollar donated, they will donate a dollar.  This is a great mission, and a great time to donate.  I’m sure you’ve received a fair share of emails asking for donations, and if you have given to the effort, thank you on behalf of the many Haitians I met while I was there.

Welder Series MySpace page

Thanks to Red over at Red’s MT (Mini Truck) Auto News, who suggested I get a MySpace page to be cooler, I now have a MySpace page.  And I’m cooler.  So if you’re on MySpace, visit MySpace.com/welderseries to “connect” with “me”.

Thanks Red!

Detroit Autorama

Looks like I’ll be in Detroit for Autorama on Friday night and Saturday, February 26 and 27.  If you see a Welder Series T shirt walk by, please come and get me because that’s magic.  T shirts don’t walk.

I’m really looking forward to the show!

JF Kustoms Online TV

You remember JF Kustoms, right?  Maybe this will help remind you:

If you’re like me (I know, rhetorical questions again), you look at a picture like this and say to yourself or someone close by “wow, it’s beautiful”.  And if someone is close by they would say “why are you talking to yourself?” but then they would see the picture and say “wow, it’s beautiful”.

The other thing you’d do if you were like me is want to know how JF put this masterpiece together.  Coincidentally, I received an email from JF this morning talking about a new project for their shop.  It’s a different kind of project, though – a TV show that will be broadcast over the internet!  I’m really looking forward to it because I understand it will cover a lot of the build of this wagon as well as some other goings-on in the JF Kustoms shop in Osoyoos, BC.

Dear Welder Series… control arm parts?

Dear Welder Series…
Hello, I have a 64 Chevelle and would like to make my own adjustable upper control arms. Do you offer anything to help with this.

Thanks,
Michael

Dear Michael…
Builders have used our bushing eye #21309 and big bushing urethane bushing kits.  We also have Chrysler ball joint housings.

Thanks for looking at Welder Series’ parts.
